Object Name Yad
Description Silver yad, or Torah pointer, made by silversmith J.M. van Kempen & Zonen in Voorschoten, Netherlands in 1918. Yad has a flared bottom, which tapers to a thin line before widening and tapering again to a point at the top. Yad is also engraved throughout with decorative lines, scrolls, and flowers. Engraved with the initials "L.W." on back bottom.

Provenance This yad was created by silversmith J.M. van Kempen & Zonen in Voorschoten, Netherlands in 1918. It was brought to England by a Dutch antiques dealer, and puchased from a shop in the north of England by Frank V. Gricus.
