Harry Johnson served in the 314th Medical Battalion attached to the 89th Infantry Division in the European Theater. The 89th ID is named as a liberating unit of Ohrdruf Concentration Camp. As the S2 of the headquarters company, Harry was responsible for intelligence and security allowing him to decide which photographs of the camp would be published by the Stars and Stripes. |
