Flag armband worn by paratroopers involved in Operation Dragoon, the invasion of Southern France, in order for soldiers on the ground to easily identify allies. The armband has an American flag pictured in the center. Inscribed on the band is "Souvenir of the / Invasion of Southern France / August 15, 1944 / Captain Geo R Rodericks" Holes on both ends allow for the armband to be pinned at different sizes to the wearer.
