This painting was created by Serge Mendjisky, a WWII French resistance fighter. The painting was purchased by the Emile Walter Gallery in 1968, and later purchased by Gabriel Gilead, a Holocaust survivor, in the 1960s. It was donated by Bob Anderson on behalf of his cousin Gilead. |
