Propaganda poster from the office of Gau Saarpfalz printed vertically on tan paper in black and green ink and a Gothic font. Poster depicts a drawing of a snow storm including three snow covered trees, rolling hills of snow, and a collection bucket with the letters "WHW" short for Winterhilswerk or, the Winter Charity Campaign, written on it. The drawing, the word Deutschland, the name Konigin Luise at the bottom, and the appropriate days for viewing are printed in green ink. The remainder of the text is in black ink. The poster reads, "…Das Fest, der Winter Da Drauken, Das alles ist Deutschland Unsere Liebe ist Deutsch, unser Zusammenhalten- mussen, unser Anein- andergebundensein!" Or, "The celebration, the winter out there, all this is Germany; our love is German, our sticking together, our bound next to each other!" |
