Description |
Propaganda poster printed vertically on tan paper in a Gothic font and in dark red and black ink. Poster was created and distributed by the Central press of the NSDAP and depicts a quotation by "Der Fuhrer," Adolf Hitler, from a speech on September 1, 1939 in Reichstag. The first letter of the quote, 'Q' and the speaker and place of speech are printed in red ink. The remainder of the quote and the appropriate dates of poster viewing are in black ink. The speaker and place of speech in a more linear font. The poster reads, "Wenn unser Wille so stark ist dab keine Not ihn mehr zu bezwinggen vermag, dann wird unser Wille und unser deutscher Staat auch die Not zertreten und besigen." Or, "When our will is so strong that no misery can defeat it, then our will and out German state will crush and defeat the misery." |
