Description |
Propaganda poster printed vertically on beige paper in a Gothic font and in black and brown ink. Poster was created and distributed by the Central press of the NSDAP and depicts a quotation by Werner Respondek. 2/3 of poster is a drawing done by 'Raske' in 1939, and is a depiction of a man in a tied up vest on top of his shirt, holding the hilt of a pole on the front line of battle. Behind him are other men not in focus, looking forward with their poles raised forward. Behind them is most likely a flag blowing in the wind. Two thick .5 cm lines run parallel, framing the image and quote. They begin in black ink and seem to change to brown ink. Some of the last line of the text also appear in brown ink, but that could be due to discoloration. The quote below the drawing reads, "Wer zagt, unterlieght! Der Glaubige liegt! Wir glauben!" Or, "Anyone who hesitates loses! The believer wins! We believe!" |
