Description |
Propaganda poster printed vertically on tan paper and in a Gothic font. Poster was printed by the Gau propaganda office and is printed in silver and black ink. A thick .75 border, the Reichsadler located in the top center of the page (4.25 by 6.5 inches), the third line of the paragraph, 'Saarlander', and the speaker of the paragraph's quotation, Rudolf Hess, are printed in silver ink. The remainder of the quotation, the date of the original quotation, and the appropriate days of poster viewing, January -15, 1939, are printed in black ink. In German it reads: "…dessen konnen die Saarlander auch gewisz sein, dasz niemals vergessen wird was sie an Leiden fur ihr Deutschland trugen." Spoken on, " 1. Marz 1935 in Gaarbrucken" Or in English: "On that the Saarlander can be certain: It will never be forgotten, what they had to suffer for their Germany." |
